Could you help me date this pot I found at the thrift store?
Hi there, I would love some help dating this pot and getting an idea of what it’s worth. Originally when I picked this up at the thrift store, I thought it was a newer pot given its good condition. But after doing some research, I think it might be older. Here are some key features that can help date it:
-flame color (le creuset used to exclusively manufacture in flame before the 1950s)
-diamond print on bottom (the number 24 surrounded by a diamond embossed in the pot, hard to see in pictures)
-“made in France, le creuset” embossed in the bottom, only visible in a certain light.
-enamel on iron material (this almost exact model is included in a current heritage collection, but only for stoneware. This is definitely enamel on iron.)
I haven’t been able to find many resources on dating Le Creuset. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Well first you should invite the pot for coffee before going on a date 🤔😆
Found this one that sold on eBay, might help give you an idea of how much it’s worth?
