Paella help! Hi all, my wife purchased this Le Creuset paella and after first use looks to have stained it? She asked if I could “ask reddit” for her on if there are any recommendations on how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance ☺

That just looks like burnt on / stuck food. Just rub with bicarbonate of soda or bar keepers friend with a little water and it’ll go away. Nothing to worry about at all. It’ll go back to as new.

Update – she tried the boiling water with two table spoons of baking soda method and it looks brand new. Crisis averted! Thanks!!

How’s the paella from cast iron compare to regular paella pan?

Mine is the same. Le Creuset calls it patina and it will help make the pan close to nonstick. It’s ugly, though and I generally try to get it all off.

Protein residue, happens to everyone when using black inside enamel. No worries!
