Any neutral flavor high smoke point oil, canola, safflower, soybean, avocado, or vegetable oil, etc.
I used canola. A really thin coat on the clean pan, then rinse it off under hot water and dry with a paper towel.

The Toughened Nonstick says to rub the cooking surface with vegetable or corn oil using a paper towel then rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly.
I use a mix from Wesson (best blend) canola and vegetable in all my cooking.
